ARCO Worldwide Services Limited (AWS) is a subsidiary of ARCO Group Plc, one of Nigeria’s most respected oil and gas servicing firms with over 40 years of operations. AWS was established in 2016 as Nigeria’s first licensed commercial drone operator, certified by both the NCAA and ONSA. 

 

Today, AWS is Africa’s most experienced drone operations and aerial intelligence company, with Nigeria’s largest licensed fleet, 35+ dual-certified pilots, and more than 15,000 hours of BVLOS operations. We serve IOCs, government agencies, and enterprises across 10+ industries.

2016
ARCO World Wide is Born

Founded as a subsidiary of ARCO Group Plc; one of Nigeria's first licensed drone operators. 

2017
NCAA and ONSA Approvals

Received NCAA and ONSA approvals for commercial drone operations.

2018
Awards

Awarded Nigeria's first drone operations running contract with an IOC (TotalEnergies). Commenced projects with DPR and NETCO. 

2019
BVLOS Approval

Received BVLOS approval — first in Nigeria. Expanded pilot roster with dual-certified professionals trained in the USA and South Africa

2020
Contract

Facilitated Textron Systems USA contract with Nigerian Army for Aerosonde Mk4.7 drones under US FMS programme. 

2021
Contract

Awarded major contracts with Shell, Chevron, and Umugini Pipeline.

NLNG confined space inspection contract using cutting-edge Flyability technology.
